Blending immensely heavy, groove-laden riffs with psychedelic interludes and chaotic effects – London based alternative rock trio Pixel Box have carved out a highly unique and eclectic sound within today’s industry. Their music is mainly instrumental – with all three members of the band being highly skilled technically – but they often incorporate three way vocal harmonies which add a encapsulating and mesmeric nature to the music.
Since forming in 2014 the band has extensively gigged in many of London’s most notable venues – including Shepherds Bush Empire, Camden Barfly, 229, 12 Bar and Spice of Life – and are often praised for their highlu energetic and engaging performances. At the end of Spring 2016 the band released their debut EP “Holophony” which featured 4 epic tracks that have impressed audiences across the world. They also released a series of demos throughout 2015 which can be found under the collective title of “Demo_s”. The band is currently working on a second EP which will be released early 2017 – as well as planning various shows and festival slots, and in November 2016 they shall be suppporting the legendary rock band Future of the Left in Southampton.
Influences include but not by any means limited to – Led Zeppelin, Muse, Primus, The Aristocrats, The Prodigy, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pendulum, Queens of the Stone Age, Audioslave, Royal Blood, Jimi Hendrix.
