Brilliantly talented Rock/Metal band influenced heavily by Megadeth, Metallica, Black Sabbath etc. Just listening to them is like a mind blowing trip back in time to the good old metal of yesteryear. Fantastic old school guitar solos mixed with some cool modern day rock beats. Vocally superb, Lyrically supreme and the music is pure genius. I am really digging these guys they do it the way Rock/Metal supposed to be…
Pelugion are a three piece hard rock / metal band from Coventry, England. Influenced predominantly by heavier bands both old and new.
Andy, John and Brandon first met in college September 2012 whilst studying music performance. Starting off at the college rehearsal rooms and playing Metallica and Black Sabbath covers at a couple of college gigs, it wasn’t long before college was over, new rehearsal rooms were found, their first original song ‘Name of Her’ was written and Pelugion was born.
In 2013 a few more tracks were written. The band received positive feedback from everyone who heard these songs so the search for gigs started. The rest of 2013 into 2014 saw the band playing many gigs in Coventry and Birmingham and Pelugion then went on to write their first EP entitled ‘Serpents Mistress’.
2015 has been a busy time for Pelugion. Still gigging heavily, the band also entered the heats of ‘Godiva Calling’, a local battle of the bands for a chance to play a slot at Coventry’s Godiva Festival, the biggest free family festival in the UK. Pelugion came second in the competition and, as runner up, opened the festival in style to a good sized crowd in the rock tent. Meanwhile, Metal 2 The Masses heats were taking place in the Roadhouse, Birmingham and Pelugion reached the final heat.
In July, Pelugion inked a deal with FATangel management and have since acquired gigs further afield in Norwich, Mansfield, Evesham, Kettering plus plans are in place to spread even further across the UK.
Pelugion describe their main influences as Black Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, Soundgarden, Alterbridge, Black Label Society, Kyuss & Down.
