Hard-charging indie rocker Nick O’Demian featuring Sacramento Blues Society Hall of Famer Nate ‘Snakeboy’ Shiner. O’Demian, born in rough and tumble Detroit, Michigan has combined forces with renowned multi-instrumentalist Snakeboy Shiner. Shiner, born in Texas in 1946, began playing Blues Music in 1967. The Nate Shiner Blues Band’s first major act opening for was The Muddy Waters Blues Band from Chicago in 1968. Friends began calling Nate ‘Snakeboy” after his meeting with Muddy Waters guitarist ‘Georgia Boy’ ‘Snake’ Johnson. Throughout the years Mr. Shiner has opened for and performed with many known and unknown Blues Artists. Opening for B.B.King, John Lee Hooker, Bo DIddley, Big Mama Thornton and R. L. Burnside to name a few. Shiner has also performed with Mama Mae Thornton, Charlie Musselwhite, Jimmy McCracklin, Little Milton, Lloyd Glenn and many more.He also was involved with the Sacramento Blues Festival for ten years performing and working with numerous artists.Today, Snakeboy Shiner resides in the Austin , Texas area still playing the Blues with his wife Cathy ‘Detroit’ Rae. Detroit Rae on drums and Snakeboy playing lap slide guitar, electric guitar, harp and sings vocals.
