As those who know me, know I have a passion for all things Gothic as well as my Rock roots, so I love it when a good Goth band comes my way, and these guys are just phenomenal, They are the true form of what goth is and should be about with hints of industrial rock and a twist of punkish pop there’s no end to there talent. Vocally fantastic, Lyrically supreme and the music is well as it should be pure goth at its best.


Unsigned and independent Goth Rock/Love Metal act, Lovacaine was founded and established in Orlando, FL USA by front man, Johnny Lovacaine, in the year of our Lord 2012. Main influences include HIM, The 69 Eyes, Lacrimas Profundere, and Dommin. Local live shows in late 2012 showcased the band’s live intensity and solidified Lovacaine’s vitality on stage. MTV’s Jackass and Viva La Bam’s icon Bam Margera has been supporting Lovacaine by playing the impressive self-produced Lovacaine “Bam Demos” EP on Sirius XM’s Radio Bam after Lovacaine’s front man handed Bam the only printed copy, specially dedicated to him, during an appearance tour stop in Orlando on October 10, 2012. On December 9, 2012 Johnny Lovacaine was personally invited by Bam to perform at his Fuckface Unstoppable and appearance show in St. Petersburg, FL. Both took to the stage performing a cover version of Rock n Sad masters Lacrimas Profundere’s “Again It’s Over” converting an all night hip-hop crowd into Love Metal and Goth Rock devotees for the duration of the set. Lovacaine then immediately headed into full production of its first professional offering “Principio Finis…” EP. Sessions commenced in early December 2012 and concluded in late February 2013. The EP was composed, performed, and recorded in its entirety by front man Johnny Lovacaine at world renowned Audiohammer Studios in Orlando proceeding Roadrunner and Metal Blade recording artists such as The Black Dahlia Murder, Deicide, Trivium, DevilDriver, and DAATH. “Principio Finis…” EP was produced by Ryan Denman and Jacob Crabb of Orlando based Red Wave Productions. A video clip of the lead off single “No Escape” was filmed in West Chester, PA and Atlanta, GA directed by and featuring Bam’s partner in crime and Viva La Bam star Brandon Novak. The video clip also starred Novak’s talented beauty-queen girlfriend Abbey “Apple” Leigh and Matt Lidwin, front man of Milwaukee, WI based Dark Rock band Eden. Lovacaine’s debut “Principio Finis…” EP will be independently released on iTunes, Spotify, AmazonMP3, and other digital stores on the Ides of March 2013. In 2014 Lovacaine has continued to forge on their brand of Goth Rock and Love Metal by supporting international live acts such as Urn and Moonspell onstage.
