Very talented singer/songwriter Jamie Porter and his band (Jamie Porter Band ) are simply fantastic, with there unique mix of Rock, Country and Blues they have pulled of one awesome sound accompanied by the male vocals of highs, lows, and at times melodic there certain to please all. Vocally supreme, Lyrically superb and the music is just pure honest and damn right good.
Jamie’s influences and favourite bands are many, but include Gary Moore, Ritchie Sambora, The Ataris,
Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Black Crowes, Thunder,
Dan Baird, The Eagles, Stereophonics, Oasis, The Faces, Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Hendrix, Free,

As a performing musician, Jamie has played in bands since high school as singer/guitarists, guitarist and
bassist. The bands have been both covers and originals bands of varying styles of country to classic
While gaining plenty of gigging experience in bands, success was limited due to various limitations of
the bands and finding people with the same commitment and direction. Jamie gained plenty of
experience of pub/club gigs around North Wales and NW England, and has played shows at The Cavern
Club in Liverpool and Liverpool University. Jamie has also worked on a number of small recording
projects for friends, and has experience of performing live on the radio having played a number of
acoustic shows on community radio stations in Crewe and Llandudno as well as a full band session on
the Evening Show on BBC Radio Wales in Cardiff.
As a writer, Jamie contributed in all the originals bands he was in, and was also writing in his home
studio, but never really focussed fully on his own material while in other bands. In 2012 after a number
of years as the bass player of a band Jamie decided that he wanted to start his own music project and
write his own material. Jamie wrote and recorded 10 songs over 2012/13, which he recorded in a local
studio, and put out 2 EP’s on his website in 2014 via bandcamp called ‘Restless Soul’ & ‘A Better Day’.
2014 also saw Jamie look for musicians to take his songs out live. Jamie was joined by experienced
drummer/musician Geraint Vernon early in 2014 and rehearsals followed soon after. They were joined
by Jamie’s son Dan on bass and shortly after Paul Harrison on guitar and b/vocals. A couple of short
warmup shows were done by the band over 2014 at Conwy Beer Festival and Conwy’s Prom Xtra
Festival in August. Late 2014/ early 2015 has seen the band joined by a new bass player Darren Sidell
and Dan has now moved over to keyboard duties.
Jamie gained airplay on some local radio stations in 2014 with his song ‘Touch the Sky’ which was played
on ‘The Music Truffler Radio Show’ on Radio Clwyd, Showcase Wales on GTFM Radio in Pontypridd and
Rhyl’s Point FM 103.1 as well as some internet play on EGH Radio and Rocker’s Dive Radio, while 2015
has seen the release of a single called ‘Save Me’ which has had airplay on independent radio stations
across the UK.
