Wow is one word this super cool singer/songwriter stands out for sure, With his fantastic mix of folk/rock/reggae and his Irish vocals really makes him totally unique. I love a bit of reggae and also folk I remember as a small child finding an old LP of Irish folk it was called Green something but as a budding 14 year old I loved the whole sound, and this guy has stayed true to his roots. I find his music uplifting calming and pure. Vocally fantastic, Lyrically superb and the music is fantastic.


Irish born singer/songwriter Carl Finlay’s music is guaranteed to be the most unique and infectious thing you are likely to hear this year. An unusual and fresh blend of Folk, Rock and Reggae delivered with a beautiful Irish accent. Citing an eclectic spread of influences from Bob Dylan and James Blake to obscure Reggae and Folk artists, his music manages to be at once strikingly individual while remaining intimate and captivating.
Born in the countryside of Co. Meath, Ireland, Finlay hasn’t been shy to spread his wings and explore some of the most exciting corners of the world, he has recently returned from the Caribbean and has spent time living in Mexico and Slovakia. His worldly experiences transpire beautifully through his thoughtful and emotive story-telling lyrics.

Hot on the heels of the success of his previous single ‘So Hard to Be Happy’, which received BBC Radio 6 airplay, Carl Finlay has announced the release of his next single, ‘Message to the Dreamer’ and his debut album, ‘Follow the Moon’.

An eclectic mix of folk – drawn from his Irish roots, combined with rock and reggae influences, Carl conveys raw emotion, positivity and enlightenment through his music. He studies mankind’s ideologies through his intricate style of musical storytelling, and with tracks such as ‘Message to the Dreamer’, divulges an upbeat, positive word to the wise. It’s due for release March 16th.
